Bellacanna started with a simple idea: cannabis businesses need more than a check. They need partners who understand the plant, the regulations and the market — and who stay in the operation long after the deal closes.

So we bring financial capital, from our own funds and our dedicated network of angel investors, the intellectual capital we’ve built — proprietary genetics, brands, and cultivation and product know-how — and the relationships that open doors. That’s how we’ve built a portfolio that runs from the grow room to the shelf.

Bellacanna is both an American and an African company, and that’s by design. Our founders share a life and a career that run between Washington, DC and Johannesburg. That experience shaped how we see this industry: two fast-growing cannabis markets with a lot to offer each other.

Very few cannabis companies operate in both. We bridge them, moving genetics, brands, capital and know-how between the two cities, with a team on the ground in each that knows the regulators, the operators and the customers.
